I.               Brief introduction:

This test bench is designed and manufactured according to national JJG164-2000 and GB/T778.3-1996, complying with ISO4063 standard.

This device can be used to test DN80-400mm water meter one by one or series connection.

Accurate measure, along with convenient and stable operation.

II.     Operation principle:

This device uses the static volumetric method. That is to fasten the water meter after installing it onto the checking desk, to start the water circulation system, and to let the water flow through the water meter and working instruments. Compare the reading of the outflow on the water meter and that on the working instruments, and check the reading error of that water meter at that instant. (The readings on the counter of water meter – the reading on the Staff Gange of the Standard Measure=the reading Error)

Error= (digits on water meter counter— the volume in the container) / the volume in the container× 100%

Structure.the device is constituted of complete laboratorial management, a set of capacity measures, working desks,control system, air supply set, valve system, flow adjusting system. measure container:

For over than 5 m3 container, the device have stabilizer inside. The container has glass tube to show the water level.

VI: installation and debugging

After ordering the client needs to send the installation sites plan to the factory and mark the directions of draining. And the factory will design the basic installation illustration to the client according to the former one. If there is no doubt, the client needs to finish all the elementary work before the arrival of the equipments.install in bright and ventilating place where the relative humidity is no more than 85%there ware water source and electric source(380V/220V, no less than 5.5kW)the installation of the water source should watch the structure of the working place as well as the valves and bends(of least amounts)The installation place excludes interruptions, and greatly vibrating machinery hereby.When installing, keep the test desk horizontal and glass flow meter and standard measures vertically. Clean the pool and pipes in advance. The water being checking should be cleanThe water pressure should be stable. But if water supplied by tower, surge drum should be along in our suggestion.

VII. Preparation and application

Check the power, electrical equipments, water pump and air pump to see if they all in good condition. No foreign matters on the desk.Open the air pump and adjust the pressure to 0.5mPa.Electrify the electrical equipments box.Open the water pump. If there is a surge drum, shut the water draining valve. Open the water entering valve. Make the water level in the drum reach the same level to water pressure and air pressure.Put the water meter into the ammeter joints and fasten it. Open the bottom valves of all measures, the flow adjusting valve.Open the ball valve of water-entering slowly. Then open all flow adjusting valves slowly. Drain the air of the pipes ranging from big flow to small.Adjust the flow adjusting valves step by step. Make them in the position of the testing flow point. Then shut all the electromagnetic valves and water source valves.Open the pipe valves and water source valves of the measures chosen. Take down the original reading of the water meter. When the water comes to the set volume, compare the reading of the water meter with the set volume. The count out the error of the water meter.Examine the sensitivity: open the adjusting valve of the minimum flow meter, make the flow rise slowly and uniformly. The amount flowing through the water meter for the moment is the sensitivity, when observing the needle of sensitivity revolve continuously and regularly by eyes. The time of observing on dry type should be no less than 10mins and wet type 2 mins.Open the draining valves to drain the water of the pipes after checking.

VIII. Maintenance

Check the sealing of every valve often to keep it undamaged. Change if necessary.Keep the staff gauge clear and clear the glass pipes regularly in order to keep clear reading.Clean the glass Rotameter and tapered pipe regularly.Drain the rest water of the pipes after using in cold seasons.Check the device every two year.
